I’m Alyssa, the owner of Health Compass Nutraceuticals and Ahava Midwifery. I am Certified Professional Midwife, Certified International Midwife, Licensed Midwife, Certified Doula, and Certified Lactation Specialist. With over 15 years of experience attending more than 1,000 births in home, birth center, and hospital settings, I am deeply committed to providing personalized, compassionate care to growing families.
My husband and I have four wonderful children, including our oldest daughter and her husband, who have blessed us with two beautiful grandchildren—a granddaughter and a grandson.
Our practice is supported by our skilled and compassionate assistant/doula, Jacqueline, who is a dedicated wife and mother of one. Our Midwifery student is Madison, a loving wife and mother of five.
Our practice partners with additional midwives as needed, each bringing over 15 years of international and domestic experience.
We also maintain collaboration with a homebirth-supportive OB/GYN and CNM for telehealth consultations, ensuring easy access to prescriptions or second opinions when necessary.
Our office is located in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio and we primarily serve clients that are within 30 miles of the office. Clients beyond 30 miles are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Exclusive, Personalized Midwifery Care:
With a practice limit of 1-2 births per month, and many repeat clients, we are nearly always booked 10 months in advance. This limit allows for highly personalized and advanced care.
To explore our services, we encourage you to schedule a complimentary consultation early—either while trying to conceive or immediately after confirming your pregnancy. Once accepted and if you wish to use our practice, please notify us promptly to reserve your due date.
Midwifery Package Includes:
• Comprehensive Prenatal care: Monthly visits from 10 weeks until 36 weeks, then weekly until birth. Additional visits included if needed.
• Labor and delivery care: Midwife availability starting at 38 weeks, all necessary birth supplies, birth pool (if desired), and support from a primary midwife and assistant/student midwife. Birth photos will be taken when possible, if you wish, and you will be provided with a private digital album.
• Postpartum care: Four in-home visits for mother and baby, lactation support, labs and newborn screenings.
• Additional included services: Sneak Peek gender test, diagnostic ultrasounds, OB lab panels, telehealth consultations, and secure EHR messaging.
• Extras: Nutritional supplements at wholesale prices, assistance with insurance claims for potential reimbursement and more!

Qualifications and Experience:
• Certified Professional Midwife, Certified International Midwife, and Licensed Midwife (in multiple states).
• Former Women’s Health/Obstetrics Preceptor Faculty at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and Lactation guest lecturer for Osteopathic Physician residents in multiple medical facilities.
• Certified Doula and Lactation Specialist with extensive experience managing breastfeeding challenges.
• Expertise in trauma-informed care, genetics, perinatal psychology/mental health, herbalism and integrative nutrition.
• Advanced training in vaginal breech and twin delivery.
• Extensive international midwifery experience.
